MKG was tasked with designing a launch event for Benefit’s latest releases, The Hoola Lite Bronzer Stick and Dandelion Brighteners. Luau-centric and kitschy in nature, Benefit’s brand had to be applied to the Lombardi House, a residential venue in Los Angeles.
Located in northeastern Hollywood, the Lombardi house is a traditional two-story estate with ample indoor and outdoor space. Benefit asked to design the event features within the barn and lawn. To exaggerate Hoola’s kitschy luau vibe, MKG produced large-scale, interactive versions of the product complemented by custom surf graphics and a massive amount of beach-themed puns.
